JumpCloud announced on Thursday JumpCloud Asset Management, a new platform designed to help IT teams automatically track, manage, and report on organizational hardware assets while eliminating the need for manual spreadsheets and disparate point solutions.

The launch reflects growing demand for consolidated IT asset management solutions as organizations seek to move beyond fragmented tracking systems toward more integrated approaches to hardware oversight and financial planning.

The cloud-based solution creates a centralized repository for hardware asset data throughout the entire device lifecycle, from initial procurement through retirement. According to the company, the platform addresses growing challenges IT departments face in managing increasingly complex hardware inventories.

The new offering provides IT administrators with complete visibility and control over organizational assets, enabling more informed budget decisions and ensuring comprehensive device accountability. JumpCloud says the solution helps organizations optimize costs, streamline compliance processes, and reduce operational bottlenecks.

“JumpCloud’s Asset Management has saved us time by replacing a couple tools with one platform,” said Nicolae Cotan, IT support specialist at DataDome. Cotan highlighted the platform’s automated synchronization and lifecycle tracking capabilities, noting that asset migration was simplified through CSV import functionality.

Julián Blomberg, head of IT operations at Mural, praised the solution’s self-discovery feature for its ability to identify existing devices and categorize personal phones as bring-your-own-device (BYOD) assets. “The automatic asset retirement feature when a device is wiped” has been a significant time-saver, Blomberg said, along with bulk upload and update capabilities through CSV import.

The solution offers four primary capabilities: centralized asset inventory management with automatic tracking of managed devices and easy import of unmanaged equipment; complete lifecycle management from procurement to decommissioning with automated discovery and change tracking; enhanced financial management through asset depreciation tracking, replacement scheduling, and warranty management; and improved IT operations through real-time tracking and historical data access.

The platform integrates with JumpCloud’s existing device and access management capabilities, creating what the company describes as a unified IT management environment.

“In today’s complex IT landscape, managing hardware assets is more critical — and challenging — than ever,” said Serhat Can, co-founder and director of product management at JumpCloud. “JumpCloud Asset Management takes the guesswork out of the process, providing a comprehensive, up-to-date picture of all company-owned devices.”
